2.What is TLS/SSL for email client and server communication, i.e., POP3S and SMTPS?

The usage of TLS/SSL (Transport Layer Security/Secure Sockets Layer) protocol allows email client (your email client such as Microsoft Outlook®) and server (Borneosoft Mail Server) to exchange data in an encrypted way, as for example between a web browser client and and web server when using the HTTPS access method (https://...). POP3S is secure POP3, it allows to download confidential messages from the Inbox folder to the client. SMTPS is secure SMTP, it allows to send confidential messages from the client to the mail server.

3.Do I need POP3S and SMTPS?

You should use secure communication when you use your email client in public environment, such as at the customer site or at the public place.

4.How do subscribe?

Please follow this instruction: How To Subscribe.

5.How do I pay my monthly subscription fee?

Your recurring monthly subscription fee will be deducted from your PayPal account. The recurring payments are collected on the same day of the month. If the initial recurring payment falls on the 31st, PayPal eventually adjusts the billing cycle to the 1st of the month. If the initial recurring payment falls on the 29th or 30th, PayPal adjusts the billing cycle to the 1st of the month on the following February.

For example:

The subscriber signs up for a single user on July 31. The subscriber is billed as follows:

  • July 31 = USD 14.90
  • August 31 = USD 14.90
  • October 1 = USD 14.90
  • November 1 = USD 14.90
  • December 1 = USD 14.90
  • and so on...
  • Notice that no recurring monthly payment was collected in September, but recurring payments were collected roughly every 30 days.

The subscriber signs up for a single user on December 30. The subscriber is billed as follows:

  • December 30 = USD 14.90
  • January 30 = USD 14.90
  • March 1 = USD 14.90
  • April 1 = USD 14.90
  • May 1 = USD 14.90
  • and so on...
